Bréon Rydell is a poet and songwriter, of Irish descent, born and brought up in the borderlands of Scotland, now living in Donegal.

Inspired by the music and storytelling traditions of Ireland, he wrote Christmas Time in Donegal after reflecting on how moving there had impacted on his life, both personally and artistically.
The track was recorded at The Grooveshack, Billy Robinson’s studio in Ramelton, with some of Ireland’s finest trad musicians. It is available on all the major streaming platforms worldwide, including Spotify and Apple Music.
He is an Advisor to The Mahler Foundation, which seeks to share and spread the Gustav Mahler Effect: the universal idea that art and music can heal minds and offer hope in a troubled world.
